Ingredients:
2 Chow Chow
1/2 Yellow onion (finely chopped)
2 garlic pods (minced)
1/2tsp Turmeric powder
1tsp Red chilli powder
3 dry red chilies (broken)
1tsp Cumin seeds
1/2tsp mustard seeds
1/2tsp Urad dal
1 1/2tsp Chana dal
4-5 Curry leaves
2 cups water
Salt
Oil
Optional:
1/2tbsp Chana dal
1tsp Coriander seeds
Dry roast and coarse powder'em.
How to:
- Wash and peel the skin of chow chow.Cut them into bite-size pieces, discarding the seed.
- Heat oil in a skillet, add dry red chillies and mustard seeds,when it splutters add chana dal, urad dal and curry leaves.
- Now pour the water along with salt and chilli powder and cook in a medium flame until soft and tender.
