Ingredients:
2 cups Basmati rice (cooked)
1 1/2 Bell pepper (any color-diced)
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1tbsp Coriander seeds
4 dry red chilli
2tbsp peanuts
1/2tsp Cumin seeds
1tsp urad dal
1/2tsp mustard seeds
6-7 curry leaves
Cilantro
2tbsp butter or ghee
Salt
How to:
- In a pan, dry roast the following in the same order: dry red chilli, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, urad dal, peanuts and finally curry leaves.
- Now let the mixture cool and coarse grind it. To the mixture, add garam masala and mix well.
- In a skillet, heat butter and add the bell peppers along with salt and saute.
- Careful not to overcook. Add the ground mixture and cook for 2-3 mins.
- Now transfer the cooked rice with the bell pepper masala and mix well.
- Finally garnish with cilantro.
If you are having a party at home, this flavored rice is a definite hit.
